This is not a blog. . .

You might think of this as a sort of cyber Curiosity Shop where I, your humble host and purveyor of oddities and curiousities, am busy "stocking the shelves" with stories, videos, articles, photos, and other miscellanea from my personal travels through the human condition.

As this is not a blog, simply click on a link above to explore or begin with one of my lastest articles below.

And please register if you would like to receive an e-mail when a new article is postedI plan on having some giveaways for fegistered guests as well.

Enjoy!

How I See Things. . . .

As you watch the redfish you’ve just released dimple the surface as it glides away through the turtle grass, you feel a calming satisfaction you rarely get on your fishing junkets.  You feel like you can afford to listen to your growling stomach.

Standing there, mouth agape, taking it all in, I had broken a rule.  I had paused too long in the light and immediately a girl in her mid-twenties (I perceived her as a woman at that tender age) came right up to me and in a lilting southern accent asked me, “Aren't you a little young to be in here?”

"Drill, Baby, Drill?" Yeah, right Sarah!

Get your very own "CAP, BABY, CAP!"

Tee Shirt, Sweatshirt, or Hoodie and show your support for exploring alternative energy sources!

The design depicts the horrors and realities of the Gulf Coast Oil Spill with a burning, leaking drilling platform in the background, and a snowy egret and tuna covered in sludge in the foreground. I wanted to do something to help, so ALL of my proceeds will go to Seabird Sanctuary, the largest wild bird rehabilitation hospital in the United States. They are going to have their hands full, so even if you don't purchase a shirt, PLEASE go to their website

and make a donation! As someone who has been lucky enough to work on Gulf Waters for the past decade, I am very concerned for the delicate environments and precious wildlife that is in danger here.  Each bird, fish, shrimp and crab are a natural and national treasure and should be guarded as such. Let's get the well capped and find environmentally sound energy solutions so that no more need be drilled!

I am not affiliated with Seabird Sanctuary in any way - I just want to help out and thought this would be a great way!!!  Thanks,
